Connections

/connections manages credentials for external systems your DAGs need to talk to (databases, cloud storage, messaging, compute).

Catalog#

The landing page groups available platform types by category:

Connections catalog

A badge on each card shows how many connections of that type already exist. Click a platform to see (or add) its connections.

A platform's connection list#

Snowflake connections — empty state

Before any connections exist, you get a prompt to add the first one. Once you've created a few:

Snowflake connections — with a connection listed

Each row has an icon-only test button (a lightning-bolt icon — it verifies the connection works right now, without leaving the page) and an icon-only delete button (a trash icon).

Creating a connection#

Click Add Connection to open the form (/connections/new). Pick a platform from the dropdown — the form fields adapt to what that platform needs.

New connection form — top half

Scrolling down reveals authentication and advanced options (these vary by platform — Snowflake, for example, asks for an authenticator method, token, warehouse, and role):

Always click Test Connection before saving (Save on a new connection, Save Changes when editing) — it's a free way to catch a typo'd hostname or expired token before it breaks a live pipeline.

Editing a connection#

Click a connection's ID from its list to edit it later — the same form, pre-filled:
